Newborn Session: Athens Gabriel

Newborn Session: Athens Gabriel

Jason & Kate have been some of our closest friends since way before we got married.  They are definitely those friends who walk with you through thick and thin and we couldn’t be more grateful for them in our lives.  In September we were able to celebrate with them as they gave birth to their first child, Athens Gabriel.  It has been so exciting to watch them grow in to wonderful parents, and to watch this beautiful boy being loved.

A few days after Athens was born we captured some precious memories of this new little family.  What a little bundle of cuteness!  There were definitely moments while we were taking photos that we had to stop and smile at how amazing this little dude was.

At the end of the shoot we went out to their sweet porch and photographed them with their dog Moses.  It was so sweet to see them all together and Jason playing and singing to his growing family.

Congratulations, Jason, Kate, & Athens.  We are so happy to be a part of your lives and to watch you all grow in love.

Selah Harbor: Newborn Session

Last month I had the pleasure to meet my new niece, Selah Harbor.  She was born on my husbands birthday too!  A special day in August was made even more special.

Earlier in the year TJ and I were given the opportunity to live and work in Hilton Head, SC for the summer doing portrait photography.  (I will post more on this over the next few weeks)  One of the biggest things I was going to miss out on was the birth of my first niece!  I made sure that I was kept in the loop as soon as any action happened.  When Selah decided to make her appearance, I immediately began putting together a plan to drive back home and capture her first few days before she changed too much.  TJ was unable to come due to our work commitments, but I was able to snag a few days away.

Needless to say, I was smitten once I met this little girl that was now a part of our family.  I like to brag that she is the only other girl with true Woodfin blood in our little family (so far that is!).  Anyway, she is a beauty and her parents (my brother and sister in-law) are beyond in love!

Earlier in the pregnancy, I had told them I would take newborn photos.  It was so much fun!  My mom came over to their house with me and we all just sat around ooooing and ahhhing and saying how cute she was.

Last week we moved back home.  It was so joyous to come back and hold that 4 week old in my arms and marvel at how much she had changed already.  I was so glad I had the privilege of photographing my beautiful niece.

She is now 5 weeks old and becoming so much more social.  Just the other day she had her first ladies coffee outting at “Aunt Bekah’s”.  :-)  Since before she was a glimmer in her parents eyes, all of us ladies have been getting coffee weekly.  It has been such a great time of friendship and sisterhood.  Since then, there have been 2 beautiful babies added to the group.  Meet my friends and sisters, Alisha (due next March with my other niece or nephew), Beka (and her little guy Laef), Me holding Selah, & Mallory (Selah’s beautiful Mama).

Ok, Ok, Ok.  I know you are just reading through all my mumbo jumbo in order to get to Selah’s newborn photos!  Without further adieu, let me introduce to you, Selah Harbor Woodfin.

And lastly, the first Woodfin Family photo. :-)

I love you, Selah Harbor!
